Pokémon TCG Pocket’s next booster pack adds Intellectual Pokémon
Shiny Pokémon are arriving in Pokémon TCG Pocket as part of the game’s upcoming themed booster pack, Shiny Revelry, scheduled to release next week on Thursday, March 27th.
The cards in the next pack for Pokémon TCG Pocket will showcase popular Shiny creatures such as the icy-hued Charizard, the shimmering Lucario, and the vibrant red squirrel Pachirisu.
Shiny Pokémon are exceptionally rare alternate-color variations of popular creatures that have been part of the Pokémon series since its inception. However, the pursuit for them has gained traction recently, further encouraged by the popularity of Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Go.
In Pokémon TCG Pocket, Shiny Pokémon cards will exhibit their unique sparkling designs when viewed from different angles. Players will also be able to acquire a Shiny Charizard promotional display board and binder.
Shiny Revelry will also include some non-Shiny creatures, particularly Pokémon and characters from the latest Pokémon Scarlet and Violet for Nintendo Switch, including the sushi creature Tatsugiri and the Grass-type starter cat Sprigatito.
Next week will also mark the launch of Ranked Matches, with the initial in-game season kicking off next Friday, March 28th at 6 AM, and lasting for a month. Ranked Gameplay will enable players to engage in battles and earn a badge on their player profile that reflects their final end-of-season ranking.
Pokémon TCG Pocket has recently implemented an overhaul of its trading feature in response to player feedback, although the adjustments may not be widely adopted yet.
