Actively working on fixes for consoles and PC
- by Liam Croft

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers developer Leenzee Games and publisher 505 Games have acknowledged the technical flaws affecting the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC title at launch.
In a brief statement, the two companies state they are “actively working to identify and resolve the reported issues”, and the first post-release patch should arrive soon to improve “overall performance”.
Despite the technical problems, the game has gotten off to a very good start, with concurrent Steam players surpassing 130,000. That said, the title currently has “mostly negative” user reviews on the PC platform due to the problems people are having getting Wuchang to run on their rig. The PS Store rating from confirmed buyers is a little mixed also, at 3.69 stars out of a possible five.
Our Wuchang: Fallen Feathers PS5 review highlighted some of the technical issues we encountered during our time with the game, which included blurry textures and screen tearing. We recommended those interested in the title to wait for those problems “to be ironed out in post-launch patches and you’ll find a decent, if formulaic experience”. It now sounds like the first update will be live in the coming days.
In a frame rate and graphical comparison based on the launch version of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers from ElAnalistaDeBits, it’s been found that the game doesn’t utilise the PS5 Pro for a resolution boost — it only helps the frame rate a little. Depending on which graphical mode you choose, the resolution can land anywhere between 600p and 1062p.
