Child’s amusement
RoadCraft is the upcoming title from the creators of SnowRunner, and its most recent trailer might just tug at your heartstrings — impressive for a game centered on laying down pavement.
Embedded above, the cinematic preview is predominantly computer-generated before transitioning to some in-game visuals, yet it evokes a sense of nostalgia that took us by surprise.
Fundamentally, the trailer showcases kids playing outdoors with their toy trucks and excavators, scooping up dirt and imagining they’re at a construction site. The main child spots a real site nearby, envisioning his actions controlling the actual equipment, with additional kids joining in towards the conclusion.
It’s a quite endearing trailer for what is otherwise a serious game focused on restoring infrastructure.
RoadCraft is a single-player/co-op experience in which you handle a variety of vehicles and machinery, constructing road systems, bridges, and more in the wake of a catastrophe.
It is slated to launch on PS5 later this month, specifically on 20th May 2025.
