Train Sim World 6 Gears Up for PS5, PS4 Release Later This Year

Train Sim World has, for better or worse, evolved into an annualised series. Thus, it might not be a significant surprise to find out that Train Sim World 6 is set for a 2025 launch on PS5 and PS4.

Even though specifics remain mostly confidential, Dovetail has announced it will host a livestream on 26th August featuring all the particulars.

So far, the team has verified that it will reintroduce the free Starter Pack first launched with Train Sim World 5, offering a complimentary method to transfer all of your current content to the new edition.

As for the new characteristics, routes, and engines, all of that information remains confidential until 26th August.

To be frank, we’re not particularly enthusiastic about the rapid pace at which these releases are being launched. For instance, the eagerly awaited Japanese route Tadami Line was initially revealed for Train Sim World 4, and will now presumably debut as part of Train Sim World 6, which is astonishing.

However, with the free Starter Packs, transitioning your content is relatively straightforward, so we must credit the team for that.
