Supamonks delves deep into Absolum

The Studio Responsible for Absolum's Stunning Art Is Now Creating an Animated TV Adaptation 1

Publisher Dotemu alongside studios Guard Crush Games and Supamonks are set to unveil Absolum, the roguelite fighting game featuring a remarkable hand-drawn aesthetic.

The latter studio is accountable for this artistic vision as well as the game’s animation, which has consistently appeared impressive in previews.

Well, we hope you’re not exhausted by it, since Supamonks is concurrently developing an Absolum animated television series.

In a press announcement, the adaptation will expand upon the mythology and cosmos established in the game while maintaining “faithfulness to the core” of it.

“We are exceptionally thrilled about producing this animated series as Supamonks has been engaged with the Absolum project from the very beginning,” states Supamonks CEO Julien Bagnol-Roy. “Our teams have assisted in crafting this universe right from the outset, and transitioning it into an animated series seems like a natural and thrilling progression in our endeavor. It is a rare chance to introduce a new layer to a realm we are already intimately familiar with.”

Details regarding the TV show are presently scarce; we suspect it’s still in the early phases of development, considering the game itself has yet to be launched.

Absolum premieres on 9th October for PS5 and PS4, and now aficionados can eagerly await an animated series as well.
