The Grade Bazaar calls
- written by Robert Ramsey

Tales of Xillia Remastered is shipping with a raft of much-appreciated upgrades, Bandai Namco has confirmed. A handful of these tweaks were teased in the reveal trailer, yet the remaster’s dedicated website now hosts the complete rundown of extras.
In short, the Xillia do-over looks to be a more carefully assembled release compared with, say, the under-delivering Tales of Symphonia Remastered. Several of these life-of-life upgrades could meaningfully reshape the entire adventure.

Condensed into bite-sized points, the upgrades land like this:
- The Grade Bazaar is open during your maiden run, letting you nab features once locked behind New Game+.
- You’ll receive 5,000 Grade Points to splash around immediately.
- A handful of Bazaar goods are now half their original price.
- Forty-plus cosmetic packs are bundled in (though some licensed content didn’t make the cut).
- The remaster adds automatic checkpoints.
- You can disable on-field monsters, letting you sprint past hostile encounters.
- A “Retry” prompt appears after a standard fight loss, dropping you back into battle at once.
- Lines are subtitled for various mid-combat actions.
- Dash toggles allow turbo movement – swap between regular run or turbo dash at will.
- Waypoints and destination arrows can be switched on or off as you please.
- New map icons – ‘!’ for side-events and an hourglass for fleeting events – pop up on-screen.
- Chests and item icons now show on the world map.
- A universal “Skip Event” setting is available in the options list.
- Cutscenes and skits can be instantly left behind.
- ‘NEW!’ badges highlight fresh items or arts right inside the menu.
- Extra flavor text now details every gift at the Jet-Black Feather exchange.
- A single press rockets you to the very top of any scrollable list.
- Bonus material selections can be checked in a single batch.
- Equipment screens now display stat gains and losses before you commit.
- Chest/container activation range is wider; sidle up no longer required.
- Camera distance settings (close / standard / far) are available in both towns and dungeons.
- Audio can be balanced separately for music, voices, and effects.
- You can swap between English and Japanese voice-over on the fly.
- On PS5 the title targets 4K output at 60 fps.
- Palettes have been enriched, making colors richer and characters more vivid.
Several of these tweaks carry real weight—especially everything tied to the Grade Bazaar, which lets you buff experience and cash rewards from minute one and sidesteps potential bouts of tedium.
