DOOM: The Dark Ages landed earlier this year and, while it’s an entertaining romp, it still appeared to burn bright then disappear just as quickly.
If you bypassed it at launch but remain mildly curious, one route worth exploring is the freshly-added PS Plus Premium trial version.
Subscribers in Sony’s highest tier can dive in right now, enjoying a 60-minute chunk of gameplay that should give you a strong sense of what the first-person slayer is all about.
Should you choose to upgrade to the full edition, your Trophies and save data will automatically transfer, as usual.
The Premium tier really shines for sampling new releases before handing over any cash, since hundreds of timed trials are on tap. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is slated to receive a Game Trial soon too—scheduled to offer its initial five hours of content for Premium members.
