Sucker Punch Would 'Love' an inFAMOUS Trilogy on PS5 1

Sucker Punch aims to bring enhanced editions of the inFAMOUS series to PS5.

During a conversation with Game Informer regarding its forthcoming exclusive Ghost of Yotei, creative director Nate Fox expressed his desire to see the Seattle studio’s historical titles transitioned to Sony’s next-gen hardware.

He stated:

“I would adore the chance to create more inFAMOUS. I would love to witness a trilogy re-release, but Sucker Punch operates on a one-game-at-a-time basis, and at this moment, we are considerably focused on completing Ghost of Yotei.”

inFAMOUS: Second Son and its separate expansion inFAMOUS: First Light can be played on the PS5 via backward compatibility, but PS3 titles inFAMOUS and inFAMOUS 2 are accessible only through PS Plus Premium cloud streaming.

Enthusiasts have maintained hope for years that Sony would devise a method to enable Cole MacGrath’s electrifying escapades to be played natively on the PS5, yet the platform holder has yet to achieve significant advancement. It did release Sucker Punch’s earlier Sly Cooper trilogy via its PS2 emulator, however.

We appreciate Fox’s remark regarding his team being concentrated on Ghost of Yotei, yet it would be advantageous if Sony could recruit another team to assist with these adaptations.

Indeed, they have both Bluepoint and Nixxes under their umbrella, and while the latter is exceptionally engaged in porting first-party titles to PC and Xbox, it would be wonderful if they could find the opportunity to make these classics functional on contemporary PlayStation hardware.
