The Korean developer Shift Up already maintains a partnership with Tencent subsidiary Level Infinite on the lively smartphone shooter NIKKE: Goddess of Victory, so it’s likely not a shock to observe the firm stepping in to release its forthcoming title, Project Spirits.
The game – crafted utilizing Unreal Engine 5 – is set to debut on PC, mobile, and console, with no particular platforms specified as of now. (Although, we believe it’s safe to assume that the PS5 is in the lineup.)
Alongside the publishing collaboration, Tencent affiliate Yongxing Interactive will contribute to development. This studio consists of seasoned professionals from various entertainment fields, encompassing anime, comics, and gaming.

A statement indicated:
“Capitalizing on SHIFT UP’s knowledge and their established success with globally recognized IPs like NIKKE: Goddess of Victory and Stellar Blade, Level Infinite intends to provide cutting-edge gaming experiences to gamers worldwide. In line with this endeavor, Level Infinite and SHIFT UP have further solidified their strategic alliance to encompass both publishing and collaborative development.”
There is still no update on when Project Spirits will launch, but a recent investor relations report highlighted that Shift Up has approximately 20 employees focusing on the project, as of late September 2025.
Presumably, today’s announcement signifies it’s primed to commence increasing development efforts, and with Yongxing Interactive supporting production, we should hopefully witness some substantial progress soon.
