PS5 launch date moved up
- by Liam Croft

Launched a few months ago, Sony has now officially announced the State of Play livestream for Borderlands 4, scheduled for tomorrow, April 30th. It will showcase over 20 minutes of gameplay featuring “missions, powerful weapons, thrilling Action Skills, new and returning characters, and more”. The presentation begins at 10pm BST / 2pm PT / 5pm ET.
“Prepare for an in-depth exploration of Borderlands 4,” stated creative director Graeme Timmins on the PlayStation Blog. “During this unique State of Play, I’ll be joined by other Gearbox team members to divulge the intricate details of how you’ll cause chaos across Kairos and confront the Timekeeper.”
In addition to the livestream, Gearbox has also revealed that the Borderlands 4 release date on PS5 has been advanced to September 12, 2025. This adjustment allows for the FPS to launch two weeks earlier than initially planned, potentially creating more opportunity for GTA 6.
