It’s May 4th, which means Star Wars fans all around the world are celebrating LucasFilm’s iconic sci-fi series. If you’re playing on PS5 and PS4, however, the festivities will be a little more muted.
That’s because Aspyr has released a new bundle of retro Star Wars games, although the package is significantly smaller on Sony’s systems.
If you’re buying on the PS5 and the PS4, you’ll get six games:
- Star Wars: Bounty Hunter
- Star Wars: Episode I Racer
- Star Wars: Episode I: Jedi Power Battles
- Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast
- Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
- Star Wars: Republic Commando
But if you’re playing on the Nintendo Switch, you’ll get all of the above plus the following:
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
- Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
To be fair, the pricing reflects the differences in content.
You’ll be paying $89.99/£73.99 for the Grand Collection on PlayStation and $139.99/£125.99 on the Nintendo Switch. Both platforms have a 50% discount running on their respective bundles right now.
Still, this does raise a curious question: why aren’t the Knights of the Old Republic games and The Force Unleashed on PS5 and PS4 already?
