Price reductions on base PS5, PS5 Pro surfaced
- by Liam Croft

Sony’s yearly Days of Play promotion is anticipated to commence next week on 28th May, as reported by the consistently reliable leaker Billbil-Kun. In a recent post on Dealabs, they indicate that the discounts available will be live for two weeks, temporarily reducing the cost of PS5 consoles, games, accessories, and PS Plus memberships, which includes the PS5 Pro.
The leaker asserts that the enhanced PS5 Pro system will be €50 less across Europe, and provided this same reduction applies to the UK and USA, the console should be priced at £650 / $650 throughout the sale. The standard PS5 is also expected to be discounted, with a £100 / €100 / $100 reduction on both the regular model with a disc drive and the Digital Edition.
At a glance, here are all the speculated discounts and promotions for Days of Play 2025:
- £50 / €50 / $50 discount on PS5 Pro
- £100 / €100 / $100 discount on base PS5 (both standard and Digital Edition)
- £50 / €50 / $50 discount on PSVR2
- 30% discount on PS Plus subscriptions
- Discounts on PS5 DualSense controllers
Additionally, it is suggested that PS Plus subscriptions will be up to 30 percent more economical, the PSVR2 will be available at a lower price, and PS5 DualSense controllers will also be discounted. Alongside these offers will be the standard PS Store sale, and the PS Plus Essential titles for June 2025 will be confirmed next week, possibly creating some synergy. We will provide a complete overview of all the deals once they become active starting 28th May.
