Indeed, that encompasses sprint

Halo is set to make its PS5 premiere with a substantially updated remake of the original Xbox title, Combat Evolved.
This comes from the Halo Leaks account on X (or Twitter), which has reliably disclosed information about the series previously.
The newly named developer Halo Studios has guaranteed updates regarding the franchise’s future at the Halo World Championship later this month, where it is anticipated to unveil its recent projects.
Speculations of a Combat Evolved remake have been circulating for an extended period, with the PS5 becoming a prospective platform since Microsoft has embraced a multiformat approach.

According to Halo Leaks, Sony’s system is intended for the remake, though it’s uncertain if this will be revealed during the previously mentioned event.
Moreover, the informant states that the remake will incorporate “contemporary gameplay features,” such as sprint – which is a divisive aspect among dedicated Halo enthusiasts.
The original Halo: Combat Evolved revolutionized first-person shooters on consoles when it was launched in 2001, yet a great deal has shifted in the years following its debut. Sprinting, sliding, and even the capability to “aim down sights” have all become standard mechanics.
Halo Leaks indicates this will be a “complete remake akin to the Resident Evil remakes,” presumably resembling Resident Evil 2, which is entirely different on modern hardware compared to its PS1 predecessor.
It will be intriguing to observe how die-hard fans react to these modifications, provided this speculation holds true.
Clearly, Halo Studios aims to reach a fresh audience, but there’s a possibility it could alienate current fans in the process.
Naturally, Combat Evolved has previously been remade: Anniversary Edition debuted on Xbox 360 as early as 2011 to commemorate the series’ 10th anniversary, and was subsequently collected in the Master Chief Collection.
True remasters do indeed exist, and it appears that Halo Studios is eager to significantly enhance the experience with this iteration.
If it does launch on PS5, it will mark a pivotal moment.
Microsoft has already transferred both Forza Horizon 5 and Gears of War Reloaded to PlayStation, but Halo is the quintessential Xbox franchise. It will be captivating to see how loyal Sony supporters respond to its arrival.
