Might even be revealed next week

Rumour: Everyone's Talking About Leon's Supposed Appearance in Resident Evil Requiem 1

Ever since the grand unveiling of Resident Evil Requiem — the ninth mainline entry in Capcom’s hugely successful horror series — the question of whether Leon S. Kennedy shows up has been on the lips of longtime fans.

It’s been posited multiple times that the hero may be a playable character in Requiem, or possibly just a part of the overarching story in some capacity.

Well, it’s a theory that fans refuse to let go, and now the noise seems louder than ever.

Dusk Golem, an insider who specialises in Capcom-related matters, claims that Leon will be revealed to be part of Resident Evil Requiem next week:

With Capcom having already confirmed Requiem isn’t part of its upcoming Tokyo Game Show broadcast, it’s thought that the reveal could be included in the (also unconfirmed) State of Play, which is supposedly taking place in the coming days.

On top of that, the following image is doing the rounds, apparently depicting Leon as he appears in Requiem:

Now, obviously this is all top-tier rumourmill stuff, but there’s no smoke without a fire, and stranger things have definitely happened. It’s very possible there’s some merit to all this, but we can’t know one way or the other.

So, Leon fans all turn their attention to next week, when Tokyo Game Show kicks off and Sony will (maybe?) have a presentation for us.
