Indeed, truly

PT, the legendary PS4 demonstration that introduced Silent Hills, has discovered a new purpose: instructing Japanese school pupils in the English language.
Niigata Prefectural Tsunan Secondary School, situated in the Niigata prefecture to the north of Tokyo, published an article earlier this week regarding one of its fifth-grade English classes employing PT to study English. “Pupils advanced through the narrative by making selections in English as they appeared sequentially in the game,” it clarifies. The article itself contains a few images of the class navigating through the PS4 demo.
Despite being probably one of the most terrifying gaming experiences available, it is noted that the students “experienced the delight of using English.” The abrupt ringing of the telephone in the demo’s hallway evidently startled some students, which indicates that the horror element wasn’t entirely absent from the classroom.
The educator in question must have brought their personal PS4 into the classroom that had PT installed years earlier, as the demo was removed from the PS Store over a decade ago and is not playable on PS5. If that isn’t commitment to your profession, we don’t know what is. Perhaps our grades would have been better if we had been learning languages via PT.

Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his grip and a passion for Metal Gear Solid. Currently, he enjoys playing the latest and most remarkable PS5 titles as well as supporting Derby County. That final detail is his Achilles’ heel.
