A new beginning

Developer Rebel Wolves has provided a new glimpse at its forthcoming dark fantasy RPG, The Blood of Dawnwalker.

This is a notably substantial gameplay presentation, with the video lasting just shy of 29 minutes. The entire footage is narrated, offering some captivating insights into the studio’s goals.

As anticipated, there’s much to discuss here. From overall exploration, to investigative tasks, to combat, and merely conversing with unfortunate peasants, Dawnwalker shows distinct promise as a Witcher-like quest.

However, our main takeaway from this showcase is that the project is progressing quite well. This isn’t the first time we’ve observed detailed Dawnwalker gameplay, but it appears significantly more refined than it did in earlier demonstrations.

The camera seems to have been adjusted somewhat based on feedback (it was arguably too close to the protagonist Coen before), and the user interface looks neater. The visuals have improved too, showcasing enhanced lighting techniques across both character models and settings.

The Blood of Dawnwalker remains scheduled for a 2026 launch on PS5, but are you excited about this vampiric adventure? Sharpen your sword in the comments section below.

Perhaps a tad too much, some might argue.
