The Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers are set to save the day in the PS5 and PS4 live-service game Fortnite, and this reveal trailer might just be among the finest we’ve encountered.
Promoting the impending Chapter 6 Season 4 patch titled Shock n’ Awesome, the launch clip features the Red, Blue, and Yellow Rangers battling massive insects.
Yet even if Battle Royale isn’t your thing, the trailer is undeniably wild. We first catch Jason in his Fortnite incarnation, then the footage shifts to live-action framed in fuzzy 4:3 VHS aesthetics. The creative team clearly had a ton of fun with this.
Here’s what the official synopsis tells us regarding the forthcoming Power Rangers content:
“Keep an eye out for the Mighty Morphin’ Bundle when it lands mid-August. It adds the Red, Black, Pink, Yellow, and Blue Ranger outfits—alongside extras like the Go Go Power Rangers Redux Jam Track! Battle Pass owners can also snag the Dino Megazord outfit by finishing quests beginning September 16. Get ready to power up as Megazord in a flashy mid-season event.”
Power Rangers remains one of the most requested Fortnite crossovers, so expect hordes of lapsed players to flock back to the ever-popular multiplayer title this season.
