Hey, Yotei

Ghost of Yotei Review Score Poll

Well, it has been slightly over a week since the release of Ghost of Yotei — one of the most awaited titles of 2025 for us here in the PlayStation community (apologies, we genuinely should refrain from that).

A follow-up to the cherished Ghost of Tsushima, Yotei takes place centuries after Jin Sakai’s escapades, yet it refrains from reinventing the already strong foundations set by its forerunner.

It’s what one might refer to as an iterative sequel, enhancing and broadening existing systems and mechanics — although, as highlighted numerous times by developer Sucker Punch leading up to the release, Yotei aims to be significantly more open.

Regarding player liberty, it certainly surpasses what Tsushima offers, and that’s partly the reason for the game’s overwhelmingly positive critiques.

Our own Ghost of Yotei PS5 evaluation concludes: “Enhancing its predecessor in all the correct areas, Ghost of Yotei is an exceptional sequel that places you in charge of your experience.”

It continues: “With refined combat, a stronger narrative, and remarkable utilization of PS5 features, Sucker Punch has surpassed itself and crafted a sequel for the ages. Ghost of Yotei stands as its finest creation to date.” A well-earned 9/10.

We also crafted a comprehensive 100% Ghost of Yotei guide, should you require any assistance with the game.

But what do you think about Ghost of Yotei? Does it merit such high acclaim? Provide your own review score in our poll, and then attempt to persuade everyone else that you’re right in the comments section below.

Some might say a little too much.
