Plus or minus?

Oh dear, there’s a notably strong sentiment that the PS Plus Essential selection for November 2025 may not satisfy everyone.
Announced earlier this week, the newest line-up consists of three games — and we encounter an issue immediately.
Indeed, the main attraction is Stray, a remarkably good game, by all measures, but it was previously offered via PS Plus Extra. The cat simulation was celebrated as a significant addition to Sony’s subscription service, and thus seeing it once more on the lower-tier plan — as November’s focal point — feels somewhat disappointing.
Nevertheless, at least there’s a bit of diversity here. EA Sports WRC 24 is a solid rally racing game, and by now, quite a comprehensive package. Sports games are frequently contentious inclusions in PS Plus, but we believe this is a reasonable choice.
To conclude, we have Totally Accurate Battle Simulator — again, something entirely different. This quirky simulator (and we use the term ‘simulator’ quite loosely) allows you to design your own bizarre battle scenarios among various factions. It’s good fun if you’re looking for something a tad… unstructured.
So we have three commendable games available, but do you think they suffice? As always, participate in our polls, and then share your thoughts in the comments section below.

Robert (or Rob if you prefer brevity) is an assistant editor at Push Square and has been a PlayStation enthusiast since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the remarkable realm of video gaming. He remains serious about his fighting games, but RPGs hold his heart. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he has indulged in all of them. Perhaps a bit too much, some might argue.
