The PS Plus Essential offerings for May 2025 have been unveiled, and as usual, we’d like to hear your opinions about the PS5 and PS4 games available this month.
Although it isn’t the main attraction based on Sony’s promotional content, Balatro deserves the spotlight this time. This incredibly captivating indie title is essential, even if you’re not acquainted with card games.
Balatro is accompanied by the enduring survival game Ark: Survival Ascended and the enjoyable retro shooter Warhammer 40K: Boltgun.
To be honest, there’s not much to elaborate on regarding Ark. You’re either acquainted with its dinosaur-laden landscape or haven’t been inclined to explore it. Nevertheless, we deem it a substantial addition to PS Plus, considering the extensive updates the game has received over the years.
In contrast, Boltgun is an undeniably exhilarating shooter that skillfully captures the essence of Warhammer 40K in DOOM-styled visuals. Definitely worth trying, if you’ll allow the pun.
