May-day

So, Grand Theft Auto 6 has been delayed. And it’s a big one.
Having previously been targeting an autumn / fall 2025 release window, but Rockstar’s just pushed the whole thing back to a (admittedly much more defined) 26th May 2026 date.
The good news is that every publisher on the planet just breathed a sigh of relief. No longer do they have to worry about GTA 6’s phantom release date popping up out of nowhere and spoiling all of their plans.
The bad news is that, well, the wait for GTA 6 continues, and we get another 12 months of people trying to predict when Rockstar’s going to spill the beans. Spoilers: no one will ever know.
But how big a deal is the delay to you, specifically? Given how ridiculously broad GTA’s appeal is, we can imagine that a lot of more causal gamers will be hugely disappointed with the news — but are you one of them?
Were you looking forward to playing GTA 6 later this year? Or did you see this delay coming from a mile away? Have your say in our polls, and then peer into the future, one year from now, in the comments section below.

He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he’s played ’em all. A little too much, some might say.
