Update #1 []: Bethesda has verified that Patch 1.2 for Oblivion Remastered will be deployed at some point today on PS5. You can access the patch notes in the original article below.

We will refresh this article once the patch becomes available for download.

Original Story: A second significant update for Oblivion Remastered has been announced, aimed at addressing some of the game’s most notable flaws.

Patch 1.2 is presently out in beta on Steam, but it should hopefully arrive on PS5 shortly.

The highlight of this update is the introduction of new difficulty settings. Since its launch in April, players have expressed dissatisfaction with the remaster’s current offerings, claiming they are either excessively easy or overly tedious.

It appears that players will now have the ability to modify ‘Player Combat Damage’ and ‘Enemy Combat Damage’ values to match their preferences, while a ‘Journeyman’ difficulty aims to reconcile the gap between Adept and Expert.

For many, however, the most enticing aspect of this update will be the anticipated enhancements to the game’s rather poor performance. Numerous optimizations have been undertaken, and recurring frame rate drops in specific areas have reportedly been addressed.

You can find the complete details via the patch notes, which we’ve compiled below.
