It’s about time

A secondary significant update for Oblivion Remastered has been announced, and it aims to resolve some of the game’s most noticeable problems.
Patch 1.2 is currently available in beta on Steam, but it is expected to arrive on PS5 shortly.
The highlight of this update is the introduction of new difficulty levels. Since its launch back in April, gamers have criticized the remaster’s available options, with many indicating they are either too simple or too tedious.
It appears you’ll now have the capability to modify ‘Player Combat Damage’ and ‘Enemy Combat Damage’ statistics to meet your preferences, while a ‘Journeyman’ difficulty level seeks to connect Adept and Expert.

For some, however, the primary attraction of this update will be the anticipated enhancements to the game’s somewhat poor performance. Numerous optimizations have been implemented, and recurring frame rate drops in specific areas have reportedly been remedied.
You can read the complete details through the patch notes we’ve compiled below.
Oblivion Remastered Update 1.2 Patch Notes
SETTING ADJUSTMENTS
- We’ve introduced additional difficulty levels to permit players to further fine-tune their “Player Combat Damage” & “Enemy Combat Damage”. Players can now select from “Novice”, “Apprentice”, “Adept”, “Journeyman”, “Expert”, and “Master” options in the Gameplay menu. We trust that the “Journeyman” setting, in particular, will serve as a more effective link between “Adept” and “Expert” for players.
