As the RPG reaches five million units sold

Sandfall Interactive announced today that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has achieved five million sales in just five months. To commemorate this milestone, a forthcoming update will introduce a new region, late-game adversaries, and new character attire at no charge.
There’s no announcement regarding the release of the PS5 update, but here’s what it will feature, according to the creators:
- A fresh, playable locale, transporting the characters of Expedition 33 to a novel area with new enemy confrontations and surprises to uncover.
- Demanding, new boss encounters for players at the late-game stage to tackle.
- New outfits for each Expedition member, providing enhanced customization choices for players during their journey.
- New textual and UI game localizations in Czech, Ukrainian, Latin American Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian, raising the total number of supported languages to 19.

“We’ve been utterly astonished by the ongoing support from so many of you – Your art, your narratives, your cosplays, and your relentless creativity have all been cherished and valued by our team,” remarked the developer on its official site. “We are immensely thankful, from the depths of our hearts, thank you.”
The statement went on: “Having dedicated years to our dream endeavor, to recognize that it has connected with fans globally in such a profound manner is both amazing and humbling. We are truly excited to deliver more of what we are developing!”
This update will signify the first addition of entirely new content to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 since its release in April. Sandfall Interactive shared the following teaser image for the new content along with the announcement:
