It seems that Sony has excluded Sackboy from its PlayStation Productions logo sequence that is shown prior to its films.
This animation features a variety of characters from numerous first-party franchises, including Horizon, God of War, Astro Bot, and more. Until now, Sackboy was part of the ensemble, but the most recent PS Productions film has omitted him from the logo.
As noted by @realradec on X, the Until Dawn movie does not feature Sackboy as is customary:
This comes on the heels of the removal (and online shutdown) of LittleBigPlanet 3, previously the only means to enjoy the community’s vast array of levels.
Aside from a few free, standalone Sackboy outfits still inexplicably available on PS Store, the LBP series has largely faded away, and the character’s exclusion from the PS Productions logo signals another blow to its legacy.
While it is a sort of spin-off, Sackboy: A Big Adventure remains the most recent game featuring the crafty character, and it’s a delightful 3D platformer worth trying if you haven’t yet.
