“Entire team’s collective concentration to provide novel experiences”

Halo: Campaign Evolved – the reimagining of Halo: Combat Evolved arriving on PS5 next year – will be the centerpiece for the development team at Halo Studios moving forward.
In a community announcement, the group has confirmed that it will discontinue content updates for the current Xbox and PC exclusive Halo Infinite, which was initially planned to receive support for over a decade. It succeeded for merely four years.
“With numerous Halo games in the works, we will require our entire team’s collective attention to provide fresh experiences with the same enthusiasm and consideration our community has bestowed upon us,” a representative from the studio stated.

To be fair, the content withdrawal appears quite substantial, and the studio isn’t entirely abandoning the title – it will continue to be supported, and servers shall remain operational, for instance.
However, the team asserts that it now needs to concentrate on future endeavors:
“As the Halo Studios team redirects its focus to ongoing projects like Halo: Campaign Evolved, we would like to express our gratitude to our Halo Infinite players for years of unwavering support.”
Since there’s no PvP multiplayer in Halo: Campaign Evolved, speculation has arisen that Halo Studios is preparing a standalone free-to-play version, which will introduce the franchise’s signature competitive elements to the PS5.
We know the future of Master Chief and others is now on multiple platforms, with PS5 playing a significant role, so it will be intriguing to see what else it has planned beyond the previously mentioned remake.
