We can look forward to the possibility of GTA 4 and its two unforgettable expansion packs arriving on the PS5.
For PlayStation gamers, this gloomy Liberty City adventure remains one of a handful of titles still confined to the PS3, inaccessible to stream or replay on modern devices.
However, reputed Rockstar insider Tez2, posting on the GTA Forums, believes a port could be underway.
According to him, his source at Rockstar “hinted” at the remastering, which should have progressed significantly by this time.
“We might see it launch later this year,” he prophesied. “The shutdown of the Liberty City Preservation Project mod can be considered another hint towards this.”
From the latest GTA 6 trailer, we know that main character Lucia Caminos hails from Liberty City. Thus, allowing players to revisit the New York-inspired playground in PS5 makes sense, especially given the fact that the original game is now 17 years old.
How would you feel about playing GTA 4 again after all these years? The game presented a more rigid and gloomy atmosphere than its ancestors, but it pioneered some fantastic concepts – and its more cheerful expansion packs were absolutely wonderful.
