Re-uploaded teaser highlights stark upgrades compared to Switch 2

No one disputes that the Switch 2 is an extraordinary gadget, a massive leap beyond its predecessor.
Yet, owing to its portable design and compact chassis, it isn’t a PS5.
Thus, when Capcom unveiled the newest teaser for Resident Evil Requiem during this week’s Nintendo Direct, we glimpsed the title running on the plumber’s hardware.
Sony has since re-shared the same clip captured on PS5, letting viewers soak it in again with richer shadows and a polished overall delivery.
Although the Switch 2 build appears serviceable, the gulf is unmistakable; protagonist Grace Ashcroft’s lavish locks suffer the most obvious cutback.
Illumination – a headline element in this entry – likewise shifts markedly, forfeiting the richness and nuance found on PS5.
Naturally, the RE Engine’s adaptable nature benefits Capcom, and countless gamers will doubtless have a blast on Switch 2. That’s perfectly fine.
Still, the journey will plainly be superior on PS5, where heightened fidelity deepens the immersive pull.
