We didn’t need to wait until the Year 3000 to witness Busted’s James Bourne perform the theme song for a Sonic the Hedgehog video game.
The ex-Son of Dork vocalist, who UK audiences will recall for his light-colored hair and American-influenced accent, has been contracted by SEGA to deliver the initial vocals for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.
It’s dreadful, in an endearing nostalgic 90s SEGA manner – if this were an old British gaming magazine, they would undoubtedly classify this style of music as cock rock.
You can enjoy the track above, but proceed with caution – we can’t assure it won’t lead to significant hearing problems.
