Oblivion Remastered will receive a PS5 physical copy next month, as publisher Bethesda has officially verified. Rumors regarding the boxed edition have circulated since the summer, and now a release date has been linked to the physical disc: 13th October 2025. The Deluxe Edition will be the one to receive a physical version.
Bethesda revealed the new edition in a Bluesky post mimicking the RPG style, as a “Physical Deluxe Edition” shows up in the inventory menu. It is set to launch on 13th October, and pre-orders are anticipated to commence soon.

Patches, updates, and fixes appear to be continually in progress for Oblivion Remastered, as the game encounters numerous technical challenges that negatively impact its performance the longer it is played. Nevertheless, the classic RPG from the PS3 era continues to be a title deserving of attention.
As detailed in our Oblivion Remastered PS5 review, which concluded with a score of 7/10, the new version serves as “a welcome reminder of just how exceptional the 2006 RPG can be. Despite performance concerns and monotonous design elements, Virtuos and Bethesda warrant significant recognition for resurrecting Oblivion in a manner that respects the original vision, and the meme-worthy identity it has cultivated over the years.”
