When it pertains to point-and-click quests, Broken Sword 2: The Smoking Mirror is an everlasting classic — and it’s being revitalized in early 2026 for PS5.
This marks the second occasion developer Revolution Software has ‘reforged’ a title from the legendary series, having launched Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars Reforged roughly around this time last year.
This remaster was exceptionally well received by almost everyone who experienced it, so we anticipate a comparably remarkable endeavor from Broken Sword: The Smoking Mirror Reforged (which, as you might have observed, has omitted the ‘2’ from its title).
Indeed, we were left completely impressed with Shadow of the Templars Reforged. “As a remaster, Reforged is about as excellent as it can get,” is what we noted in our 9/10 review.
The studio is once more promising “thoroughly improved” 4K graphics — with a possibility to switch to the original appearance — enhanced audio quality, a modernized user interface, optional puzzle assistance, and a variety of extra content.
