Assassin’s Creed Shadows Update 1.0.5 Out Tomorrow, Full Patch Notes Revealed

Ubisoft has assured an Assassin’s Creed Shadows enhancement around the end of May, and it has now been comprehensively detailed prior to its release on the 27th.
Anticipated to be approximately 3.3GB on PS5, patch 1.0.5 introduces the previously hinted Dead by Daylight crossover mission, in addition to parkour enhancements, photo mode features, and… a mysterious Balatro challenge?
The Dead by Daylight collaboration reportedly has Naoe confronting a “daunting supernatural menace”, and you’ll need to utilize “distinct mechanics” to navigate through the mission. Achieve success, and you will earn a themed trinket and banner.
Additionally, there will be a Dead by Daylight DLC pack accessible in the store, “including outfits, weapons, trinkets” and a mount. It’s unfortunate that more of this content isn’t part of the complimentary quest.
Regarding the Balatro connection, the patch notes remain vague — it seems that players will need to deduce it themselves.
Furthermore, an additional mission titled ‘Thrown to the Dogs’, previously available only for pre-order, will now be accessible to everyone.

Thrown to the Dogs
With this update, all players will gain entry to the pre-order bonus mission, “Thrown to the Dogs”.
The mission can be accessed early in the game, once you have completed “From Spark to Flame”.
Dead by Daylight Event
This event introduces a new free mission that you can access from the Hideout after unlocking Yasuke as a playable character. Upon completion of the event, you will receive a free trinket and banner.
Balatro Trinket
We’re also incorporating a new trinket for Naoe, along with an amulet for Yasuke named “Winning Hand” — directly inspired by Balatro. These new items include a legendary perk that offers a chance to activate a random affliction effect on combo finishers.
Now… collaboration is necessary to figure out how to obtain it!
Parkour Improvements
The team has implemented several enhancements to refine the parkour mechanics. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our devoted parkour enthusiasts for their continual feedback since launch.
Here are the primary modifications:
- New Vertical Jump
- Sprint Toggle Lock
- Improved Back and Side Ejects

These features include:
- Change the time of day
- Experiment with various poses and facial expressions
- Toggle headgear on/off
- Play music during shot editing
- Sticker colourization
- New customization frames
- Save Custom Filters
- Reset only one parameter
- Adjust camera speed
- Enhanced preview mode

- Rectified a problem where the desynchronization warning for ‘killing civilians’ appeared without cause.
- Fixed an issue where romancing Lady Oichi prior to romancing Rin could lead to a breakup.
- Fixed various localization errors.
Balancing
- Corrected a situation where the Samurai Daisho and Ronin occasionally awarded an excessively high amount of Mon regardless of their level, discouraging alternative methods of earning Mon.
- We have also partially adjusted the Mon economy to incentivize more exploration of the world and gameplay activities to obtain Crafting Materials and Hideout Resources instead of acquiring them from merchants.
- In pursuit of this, we have increased the price of Crafting Materials and Hideout Resources sold by Merchants and reduced the quantities available each season for each Merchant.
- If you still wish to purchase them, we’ve improved the Mon earned from completing contracts.
World
- Fixed an issue where Yagoro remained stuck in a Kofun and failed to return to the hideout.
- Rectified a situation where players could become trapped inside the construction site at Osaka Castle.
Quests
- Fixed a problem where players could not exit the quest “Vision of Realms” if they selected ‘Quit to Memories’ and retrieved their progress from the Animus Memories menu.

- Fixed an issue where the game incorrectly assumed Katsuhime was deceased, preventing players from completing the “Diary of Lady Rokkaku” quest.
- Rectified a problem where players could not conclude the “Diary of Lady Rokkaku” quest due to Naoe and Katsuhime being stuck in water. They just wanted a quick swim!
