New Horizons

Hideo Kojima attended the Lucca Comics & Games 2025 convention in Italy this past weekend, a European interpretation of Comic Con.
Given his proximity, he made a visit to longtime associate Guerrilla Games’ headquarters in Amsterdam, where he took pictures alongside Sony executive Hermen Hulst and studio director Jan-Bart van Beek, among others.
It remains uncertain whether Kojima’s visit was merely a social call or for professional purposes, but we suspect Decima may have featured on the agenda as he earnestly commences work on PHYSINT.

We are aware that the espionage action title, which will be released by Sony, is still very nascent in its development stage – yet the creative visionary must determine if he will persist in using Guerrilla’s technology or not.
His forthcoming horror project OD, for instance, is set to utilize Unreal Engine 5.
However, Kojima has accomplished remarkable feats with Decima in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, and considering the studio’s ongoing collaboration with PlayStation, he might opt to expand on that with PHYSINT.
Guerrilla will indeed invest significantly in Decima as well, with a third installment in the Horizon series likely deep in development currently – alongside a long-rumored multiplayer spin-off.
