Produced by Jakks Pacific, the toy manufacturer responsible for many of Nintendo’s Super Mario action figures, this Pikmin figure package features Captain Olimar and 10 Pikmin he befriends after crash-landing on PNF-404, the unique planet that serves as the habitat for the titular plant-like creatures.
Each figure in this collection boasts game-accurate details and is poseable, which is particularly impressive given the affordable price. The set includes yellow, red, blue, and purple Pikmin.
Currently, this 11-figure set appears to be the only Pikmin action figures available at major retailers. The Pikmin series has spawned two offshoots, the free-to-play Pikmin Bloom and Hey! Pikmin. The latter is a side-scrolling platform game exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS, featuring Captain Olimar. If you still own a 3DS or 2DS, you can grab a gently used copy of Hey Pikmin for $44 on Amazon. Note that the listing refers to it as the World Version. Nintendo released the North American edition of certain 3DS titles in multiple regions. The World Version plays identically to the official release. If you prefer the genuine North American version, it may cost you about $10 more from Amazon.
