Poll: Did You Get A Switch 2 Purchase Invite From Nintendo Yet? (Europe)

While pre-orders are one element of the process, the concept of lotteries and ‘invitations’ for ordering highly coveted tech devices tends to irritate me somewhat. “Here, we’re delighted to let you hand over hundreds of your hard-earned money, you lucky person! Share your card details with us.”

Nonetheless, the titles associated with the game hold significant importance for those who are Switch 2 fans, and we in Europe ought to consider ourselves fortunate that we are not in the unfortunate predicament that our counterparts across the ocean are experiencing, assured (as unlikely as it may sound) that a gleaming new console will be at your doorstep by June 5th.

For those of us anxiously anticipating the invite from Nintendo directly, the wait has been somewhat nerve-racking. Invitations are expected to continue until April 11th, but it still felt slightly like a slight not to be part of the first batch. Is 62 hours of Xenoblade not enough, Joe!? I apologize for not finishing it yet!!

And then! What appears in this writer’s inbox but an unexpected invite at 16:06 local time! After a straightforward code entry and checkout, voilà. I’m bracing for a slightly anxious call from the friendly bank representative who frequently invites me to the branch for coffee and conversation while trying to sell me something.
