Nintendo’s newest entry in its Swap 2 ‘Creator’s Squawk’ series collaborates with the skilled team at Supergiant Games for a thorough examination of Hades II. Alongside an extensive summary of the game itself, the latest video also reveals an exciting detail for Nintendo fans: Hades II will be launched on Swap and Swap 2 prior to its debut on any other platforms.
Currently, we do not have a finalized release date for the roguelike sequel, although the mentioned video indicates that it will be “Launching first for consoles on Nintendo Switch 2”. The developer quickly mentioned on Twitter that the game will also be accessible on Swap 1 on the same day as its version 1.0 release on PC, where it has been available in early access since last year.
The original title appeared perfectly suited for Swap upon its launch in 2020, with its pick-up-and-play mechanics aligning flawlessly with the console’s hybrid design — and our notable play time illustrates this.
After significant anticipation, it will be intriguing to see if the sequel fulfills the same appetite when it launches on our cherished Nintendo systems. From our hands-on experience with the early access version, we are confident this will once again demand quite a bit of our time.
