NextBeat: Unleashing Creativity with a New Studio Initiative
The portfolio will include Attach Ape intellectual properties Beatstar and Nation Extensive brand
Attach Ape Games has grown by launching the new studio NextBeat.
PocketGamer reports that Attach Ape co-founder and executive Simon Hade has taken on the role of CEO, joined by product manager George Yao, head of operations Imogen Turner, and live operations and player manager Daisy Fletcher.
“Thrilled to share that I’m initiating a new venture that several of us have been developing with Supercell for a while,” Hade mentioned in a brief update on LinkedIn.
“Details will be unveiled soon.”
It is anticipated that the studio’s portfolio will include Attach Ape intellectual properties Beatstar and Nation Extensive brand.
Supercell – which previously owned 62% of Attach Ape – increased its stake in Attach Ape last November, acquiring the London-based studio.
This may mark Supercell’s first operation in the UK, with CEO Ilkka Paananen commenting: “We believe that the best teams create the finest games, so we are truly enthusiastic about finding our place within London’s vibrant scene.”
