Do you recall when we announced that Netflix was raising its prices again, but most of Europe was spared? Well, that’s no longer the case.

According to a report by The Guardian, the streaming giant has now confirmed above-inflation price increases for UK subscribers, with its latest ad-free subscription rising by £2 to £13 – an 18 percent increase – and its highest-priced plan increasing by £1 to £19 per month.

Even the most economical tier, which includes ads, has also risen by a pound to £6 monthly. It now additionally charges an extra £1 for adding an additional member to a plan.

“We may occasionally ask our members to pay a bit more so that we can reinvest to enhance Netflix further,” the company stated, asserting that the increased fees help the organization “continue to invest in programming and deliver greater value for our members”.

As Matt summarized for us previously, the announcement comes as Netflix celebrates its largest quarterly subscriber increase in history, with 19 million new users joining the streaming service in its most recent fourth quarter. Additionally, it’s projected to generate more than expected revenue in 2025 as well.
