Nearly 30,000 of us attended GDC 2025
The organizers of this year’s Game Developers Convention have announced that nearly 30,000 individuals were present.
This figure matches 2024’s attendance, although there was an increase in exhibitors at San Francisco’s Moscone Center from 325 to 400.
Over 1,000 speakers contributed to the event, which featured 750 sessions, workshops, panel discussions, and networking events.
GDC 2025 also introduced the inaugural GDC Nights after-hours gathering, occurring on March 17 and March 20, attracting more than 6,000 participants.
“Experiencing the captivating presentations, the collaborative effort in organizing, and the outstanding performances at GDC Nights has been a rewarding experience that reinforces the significance of GDC’s mission to unite developers through their common passion for game creation,” stated GDC event director Stephanie Hawkins.
“The last few years have posed increasing difficulties for game developers worldwide, yet we’re proud to witness GDC persist as a guiding light.
“We eagerly anticipate reuniting with our community here again, and we hope the connections and insights gained will inspire their next remarkable game project.
