For the first instance in the saga’s Xbox history
Sony has revealed the latest edition of the cherished MLB The Show franchise today, and the notable update from an Xbox standpoint is that MLB The Show 25 will not be included in Xbox Game Pass upon its release on March 18, 2025.
The company simply stated that the game “will not be part of platform subscription services in 2025”, marking a historic first since the series debuted on Xbox in 2021 without being available as a Game Pass title at launch.
“We are excited to announce that MLB The Show 25 will release on March 18, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The game will not be on platform subscription services in 2025. Early Access starts on March 14, for those purchasing the Digital Deluxe Edition.”
As for what to expect from the game itself, we currently lack many significant features, however, it has been confirmed that the first gameplay trailer will be unveiled on February 4th. The cover athletes include Paul Skenes, Elly De La Cruz, and Gunnar Henderson.
It remains unclear how much longer MLB The Show 24 will stay on Xbox Game Pass, but it will likely be removed around March. In other words, enjoy your time with MLB The Show on Game Pass while you can!
