Six weeks after Microsoft removed its £1/$1 Game Pass trial in anticipation of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6‘s launch, the offer has now been restored as part of the company’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday initiatives – but exclusively for PC.

As was previously available prior to the offer’s cancellation, that £1/$1 provides 14 days to explore the PC Game Pass library (unfortunately, Microsoft will not be reverting to the month-long option last seen in August 2023). Following this period, trial participants will likely be automatically enrolled in a regular monthly subscription unless they opt out of auto-renewal in advance.

Microsoft’s next major first-party release, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, is set to launch on 9th December, so it will be available to enjoy as part of PC Game Pass’ newly restored trial. Console players, on the other hand, will have to pay full price for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate if they want to play on its release day.

The PC Game Pass trial is certainly one of numerous discounts Microsoft has introduced as part of its Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale. It’s also offering £50 off the 512GB Xbox Series S and the Xbox Series S Family & Friends bundle, alongside £40 off refurbished consoles too.

Additionally, there’s a 20 percent discount on a selection of Xbox controllers – including the Sky Camo and Ghost Camo editions – plus 50 percent off the Xbox Series X Mineral Camo wrap if you happen to reside in a coral reef and are looking to decorate and camouflage your device.

Finally, those searching for something to play on their slightly discounted new consoles can find “up to” 55 percent off a variety of digital games on the Microsoft Store. Generally, these are older, lesser-known indie titles, but you might also discover some Dragon-themed games among them.

Microsoft has stated that its hardware offerings will conclude on 2nd December, but it appears that the PC Game Pass trial will likely be available for a longer duration.
