Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 took to the sky this week and it has undeniably not been the most ideal launch for this new Xbox, PC, and Game Pass title.
The development team at Asobo has already issued an apology following the rocky launch, and now they have officially released a new patch for “all platforms” in conjunction with the Xbox Series X|S. This updates the game to Version 1.1.9.0 and resolves stability and performance issues along with several essential bug fixes. Below is the complete overview:

If you are possibly playing on PC, older files in your Community Folder may unexpectedly influence the title’s performance and behavior. If you are experiencing stability issues or prolonged loading times, consider transferring your Community add-ons to a different folder before restarting the game
Stability & Performance
- Resolved a bug that occurred if you selected “As Arrival” in the EFB
- Corrected an issue that might happen when closing and re-opening the Camera menu after switching the Drone focus mode setting to something other than undefined
- Addressed various crashes throughout the title
Overall Bug Fixes
- Fixed the missing cursor on the Xbox Live popup window
- Resolved a problem where you might lose focus when expanding a new input profile.
- Aircraft selection is available through the control menu, but can only be changed from the homepage.
- Fixed an issue where you might get stuck when accessing the menu bar from any back page.
