“Marvel Snap Faces Potential US Suspension Amid TikTok Ban Developments”
“This disruption has caught us off guard and was not anticipated. Marvel Snap is not going anywhere.”
Marvel Snap has been prohibited in the US.
While 170m American TikTok users were anticipating the app’s ban after the US Supreme Court upheld a decision to outlaw the Chinese app due to security issues, Marvel Snap gamers in the US have also been affected since publisher Nuverse is owned by TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance.
According to the developer 2nd Dinner, the prohibition came as just as much of a “shock” to the team as it did to players.
“We regret to inform you, Marvel Snap is currently unavailable,” the app now informs all US users.
“A regulation banning Marvel Snap has come into effect in the US. Unfortunately, this means you cannot access Marvel Snap for the time being.”
“Please be assured, we’re working diligently to restore our service in the US,” the short statement wrapped up. “Please stay tuned!”

Developer 2nd Dinner also communicated with players on social media, affirming that the “disruption” was indeed “a surprise to us and wasn’t intended”.
“Marvel Snap isn’t going anywhere,” the team stressed. “We’re actively working on getting the game back online as soon as feasible and will keep you informed once we have more updates.”
Unfortunately, MARVEL SNAP is temporarily absent from U.S. app stores and cannot be played in the U.S.
This disruption took us by surprise and wasn’t planned. MARVEL SNAP isn’t going anywhere.
