As of now, Halo 5: Guardians continues to be the lackluster main installment in the Halo series still absent from PC, regardless of the Master Chief Collection being available on Steam since its launch five years ago. Over the weekend, Xbox fans were excited that there might be potential developments regarding Halo 5 on PC, but it seems that’s not the case.

To summarize the situation, fans recently spotted a Halo 5 graphic nestled within Lenovo’s promotional materials for its new ‘Legion Go S‘ handheld device. A conceptual design appeared to showcase Microsoft’s 2015 Halo title, complete with a Steam tag, implying a possible PC launch. However, Lenovo’s senior product manager, Ben Green, quickly dismissed any chances of this happening.

Here is the graphic in question, along with Green’s commentary:

Interestingly, the graphic is still featured on the Lenovo product website, and despite the team’s candid response above, we don’t have any further details regarding this image and its existence. We’re presuming it is merely a simple mockup not meant to be completely accurate with the displayed games, but the inclusion of Halo 5, particularly with what seems to be a Steam tag, is nonetheless a troubling addition.

Certainly, if we hear more information regarding a possible Halo 5 PC launch, we will keep you informed, but for the moment it still appears that Xbox’s 2015 Halo release will remain an Xbox One exclusive.
