PS5 and Switch 2 both referenced
- by Ben Kerry
Recently, we’ve encountered a lot of discussion regarding Xbox’s plans for multiple platforms, and as we approach 2025, prominent leaker NatetheHate has mentioned a couple of additional titles that Xbox may be considering for a crossover this year.
According to the leaker, Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator (likely for 2024) could be the next two Xbox games to go multiplatform. Nate mentions that he has “heard” this information, indicating that both titles might also arrive on PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2 (the latter of which still remains unconfirmed).
“Games that I have heard will be launched multiplatform in 2025 beyond the obvious include Flight Simulator — will come to PlayStation 5 and Switch 2 — and Halo: The Master Chief Collection will also be on PS5 and Switch 2.”
It’s important to note that these mentions were part of a broader forecast in a video discussing potential developments for Xbox in 2025, and none of these details are verified at this point. Recently, we’ve also caught wind of speculations concerning other Xbox games moving to multiple platforms that still haven’t appeared on other systems, such as Forza Horizon 5, so it might be wise to approach this information with a significant amount of skepticism at the moment.
Regarding the mention of Switch 2, we still do not have information on the technical specifications behind Nintendo’s upcoming major console, leaving us uncertain about how practical these ports would be. The Switch successor has been in the spotlight numerous times recently, even with a recent Bethesda leak which might also involve Xbox.
