It has already been established that Baldur’s Gate 3 enthusiasts appreciated mods, as indicated by earlier announcements from developer Larian, but it turns out that Baldur’s Gate 3 players truly adore mods— with the studio now announcing that over 100 million mods have been downloaded for the celebrated RPG. What better way to celebrate that remarkable achievement, as you might be pondering, than by offering PC, Mac, and console players an officially curated selection of Withers’ assets?

This, naturally, is something we will need to revisit shortly, but first, let’s recap those mod downloads. Larian last updated the figures in October, confirming that over 50 million downloads had occurred since mod support was officially introduced on PC and consoles last year.

Fast forward three and a bit months, and that total has now surged to 100 million downloads across all platforms. “You are modding naturals,” Larian declared in a social media update commemorating the milestone, featuring an image where the two zeroes in “100” were strategically placed on beloved undead NPC Withers’ impressive chest.

Furthermore, this seems to have merely been a precursor to what lies ahead, as Larian followed up its initial announcement by revealing it was celebrating Baldur’s Gate 3’s recent achievement by adding something new to its curated list of mods officially accessible across PC, Mac, and consoles. The mod in question is MaybeAdam’s “Withers Big Naturals”, allowing everyone’s favorite partner-reviving friend to flaunt voluptuousness, should players desire.

As to why Larian has chosen to highlight this specific mod, it remains unclear—however, given the studio’s previous revelation that over 10,000 individuals had downloaded a mod renaming Withers to Bone Daddy, this appears to be developing into a recurring theme.

News regarding Baldur’s Gate 3’s 100 million mod downloads comes before the highly praised RPG’s eighth and final major post-launch patch. A release date has yet to be announced—although stress testing is confirmed to start this month—but it is promising to be significant, introducing 12 new subclasses, cross-play, enhancements for the dispute mode, and much more.

Following the release of patch eight, it might be time for Larian to bid farewell to Baldur’s Gate
