The MGS3 remake is on the way!
- by Ben Kerry
The anticipated release date for Konami’s Metal Gear Solid 3 remake has surfaced online, following a trailer that was prematurely uploaded to the PlayStation Network. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is set to debut on August 28th across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC – further confirmed on the store webpage.
Although we have yet to see the trailer ourselves, we are coming across screenshots from the video and the store page itself – affirming the proposed August release date. Here’s proof of that, shared by Wario64:
It’s been quite a lengthy journey for Konami’s MGS3 remake. Following speculations regarding its potential existence as a PlayStation exclusive, Konami officially confirmed the game back in May 2023; thankfully as a fully multiplatform title. This seems to be a rather extended wait for a remake, but we’re likely very close to MGS3’s launch on Xbox.
Of course, there is the reality that Metal Gear Solid has remained relatively dormant for some time. Aside from Metal Gear Survive (which we tend to avoid discussing), we haven’t seen a significant mainline release since 2015’s Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. MGS fans – not long to wait now!
