Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Achieves a Milestone with One Million Copies Sold in Just 24 Hours

Warhorse’s Kingdom Come: Deliverance II achieved 1 million copies on its launch day.
In comparison, the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance attained that landmark two weeks following its release in 2018. Within its initial two days, that title sold 500,000 copies, ultimately reaching 2 million within its first year.
Deliverance II will also be surpassing its predecessor in player counts: as of now, SteamDB indicates the sequel launched to 166,046 concurrent players. The initial game debuted with 96,069 players.

Who aims to sell 1 million copies?
The sales spike between the two Kingdom Come titles represents a remarkable accomplishment, continuing the trend of Embracer’s successful sequels launching strongly. In 2023, Dead Island 2 sold 1 million copies during its opening weekend, while Remnant II achieved the same amount in one week.
Its schedule for 2024 appears less promising, but this is partly due to Deliverance II and other titles (specifically, Hyper Light Breaker and Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core) being delayed to 2025.
As of late 2024, the original Kingdom Come has sold 8 million copies. Deliverance II currently occupies the top position on Steam’s bestseller chart, suggesting it may reach or exceed the sales of the original title before the end of 2025.
