Kingdom Attain: Deliverance 2 Unveils Major Update with New Features and Extensive Improvements
After an exceptionally successful launch that witnessed over 1 million individuals purchasing Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 within just 24 hours, developer Warhorse Studios continues to work on its post-launch roadmap. This brings us to today and the release of the medieval action-RPG’s 1.2 update, which introduces mod support, a barber shop, and “more than a thousand” fixes and enhancements.
According to Warhorse, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2‘s 1.2 update features “a multitude of fixes, enhancements, and rebalancing adjustments” aimed at ensuring “a smoother, more immersive medieval experience.” These include combat refinements, improved NPC behaviour, more polished animations, and performance optimizations. The update also enhances the physics of your parsnip, which (presumably) isn’t a euphemism.
The comprehensive list of changes is extensive enough that it might be safer to refer to Warhorse’s patch notes rather than risk disrupting this page. However, the key additions include Kingdom Come Deliverance 2’s previously mentioned barber shops and PC-exclusive mod support. Beginning with the barber shops, those seeking a clean hair makeover will likely be eager to visit Zhelejov and Kuttenberg. Here, players can alter protagonist Henry’s hairstyle or choose from a variety of facial hair options, including trendy stubble, a full beard, or simply a clean shave. Regardless, a fresh appearance isn’t just for looks – it will temporarily enhance Henry’s charisma.
As for mod support, it is characterized as a brand new set of tools providing improved accessibility and direct integration with Steam Workshop. “Whether you want to adjust mechanics, expand the world, or create entirely new adventures, the tools are at your disposal,” writes Warhorse. “Prepare to design, customize, and bring your own imaginative vision to life in the medieval realm.”
Today’s 1.2 update – which is available for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC – signifies the first of several free post-launch additions for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, previously announced to include horse racing and a new Hardcore Mode promising a “greater challenge.” This is in addition to three paid narrative expansions – Brushes with Death, Legacy of the Forge, and Mysteria Ecclesia –
