IO Interactive Ends Partnership with Conor McGregor “Effective Immediately”
“We regard this issue with the utmost seriousness and cannot overlook its consequences,” the studio declared.
IO Interactive has severed its association with Conor McGregor following a woman who charged the MMA fighter with sexual assault winning her civil lawsuit against him.
The studio announced that due to the recent verdict, it had opted to “terminate its partnership” with McGregor with immediate effect.
IO had designed Hitman’s The Disruptor based on McGregor, including several missions and a DLC pack featuring the character.
“In light of the recent court verdict concerning Conor McGregor, IO Interactive has decided to terminate its collaboration with the athlete, effective immediately,” the studio announced in a social media post.
